Forgot a whole 'nother diatribe on what we observed at Toys R Us. Not that it's the fault of TRU, it just amused us.

We were just wandering and I saw the play kitchen aisle. We thought maybe we should get Roman some plastic food, you know - start identifying things. So we noted that unless he was going to grill or go on a picnic, the only food available that wasn't name-brand was a 120 piece set. We don't have a basement that big. :) We did see, however, that we could buy Pizza Hut plastic food, KFC plastic food, and my favorite, Hostess plastic food. And you wonder why kids are overweight these days - there is no WAY I could play with plastic Twinkies and Ho-Hos and not want one for real!

Then Doug pointed out the other name brand stuff. Dirt Devil play vacuum. Hoover Wind Tunnel play vacuum. Mr Clean mop. And then he says, "You want to know why society is the way it is? All the cleaning stuff is in the girl's section." And sure enough... it was.
