Roman has picked up a lot from Dora. Don't underestimate the influence of television, gentle readers. He has been saying "hola" (ola?) for several days now. Today he surprised me by knowing some numbers in Spanish! I said "Uno" and he said "dos", attempted a "tres" but kind of slurred it. I said "quatro" and he called out "cinco!" very proudly. He's brilliant.

Roman also counts to 9 in English (skips six sometimes), and knows portions of the alphabet - favorite is "w x y", he repeats it over and over. He also calls out other letters, but can't necessarily identify them yet.

We had an enjoyable weekend, spent Saturday in GR with Grandma and Papa visiting the children's garden at Meijer Gardens. Wore the little boy out. Sunday we did church and stuff around the house. Getting back to normal now that swimming is done for the year.
