Working on: Scrapbooking for THREE hours straight!
--------------------------------- As we live and work around the house longer, we find interesting things. Things previous owners did or left, like carpeting the living room but not fastening it down because they had to wire all their cords under the carpet (so now it wrinkles and bubbles up). Or things the original builder did, like not finish the wood floors all the way to the back of the closets. It's only 2 or 3 inches more, for goodness sakes! I discovered a new one today. I was going to be industrious and give all our mini-blinds a good scrubbing. First a soaking in the tub with Lysol, then outside to spray and scrub them down. I was ready. I ran the water, and did round one with our spare bedroom blinds. Terrific. Then I went to the kitchen for the BIG job. And discovered... that some idiot, somehow magically, hung the blinds so you can't get them back out again. You know how the bracket has one end open, so you can slip the blinds in and then put a cap to finish it? These geniuses - again, magically, because I can't figure out HOW - screwed the blinds in so the open side is facing UP. Toward the ceiling. So I would have to bend back the bracket to attempt to get the blinds out. $#%* them. So will have to wait until Doug gets home tonight to see if he can engineer something brilliant. Meanwhile, you know how something doesn't really bother you until you can't fix it? That's the kitchen blinds. Now in my mind they are three times as dirty as they probably are, and they must be cleaned NOW. Except I can't. So instead, I'll scrapbook.
