---------------------------------

We did Family Camp this past weekend. We arrived late Thursday afternoon to my little girl cousins calling "Roman's here! Roman's here!" Roman took awhile to warm up, but my parents had brought their little 3-wheeler Big Wheel-type bike for Roman to ride as he is not pedaling his tricycle yet. He gets around on the Big Wheel by pushing with his feet. Anyway...

He didn't know all the kids' names yet (there were 8 of them, besides himself) so he began to call the girls "my people." As in, "ride bike, my people." Or upon going to bed, calling for "My people! My people!" so he could say goodnight to them. Upon rising in the morning, we would go out to the firepit and he would look around and ask, "my people?" I don't know if he thought he was a king or Moses, to be honest. He eventually said their names (Megan and Sadie) but sure enough, upon arriving back home, he asked for his people again. It was really quite funny.

All the kids took Roman under his wing. There was a 3-year-old there too, but Roman did not like sharing with him. He hung around with Megan and Sadie (about 5 & 6 years old, respectively) and with Devon, not a relative but families know each other. Devon is 11. We also went to the beach, took him on a bike ride on our own bikes (thanks Kristen and Paul!), and he got to know my extended family a little bit better. We decided to name his 3rd Uncle Jeff (my own uncle) Uncle Z (as in last name) because that's just too many Uncle Jeffs to remember. :)
