Working on: Finishing up, so can go to bed
--------------------------------- Big lines of storms came through the past couple days, and the result - a gorgeous day. Temp in the mid-70s, sunny, cool breeze. So I decided to go to the zoo with my darling son. We saw & heard some things we hadn't before - one of the owls in the barn flew around, the lion roared, the donkey talked to us, a sea otter sleeping by the window... a bearcat, the wolverine kits, a grizzly bear taking a swim. A lot of neat stuff. Then, we saw Daddy! I had suggested to Doug that if we were still there when he left work, he should come meet us and we'd do dinner (the zoo is between his work and home). That's what we did - met by the rhino pen, ate dinner together, then - oh joyous! - made Roman's day by riding the train back to the front. Roman couldn't believe his Daddy was actually there - he insisted upon being carried by him, and was constantly hugging Doug, asking for a group hug (when we all wrap our arms around each other, Roman with an arm around my and Doug's neck), and telling Doug he "white appled" (loved) him. It was a fun thing to watch. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
