My gums hurt. Specifically, between two molars on the upper left side of my jaw. I have never bothered to replace a temporary cap for a crown, so there's space where food jams up in between my teeth and causes pain for lengths of time. Usually this occurs maybe once a week, at minimal pain, and flossing can fix it. Tonight we had steak, and apparently enough damage that the 3 glasses of wine plus one bottle of Smirnoff Ice couldn't fix the pain, so I dug into Roman's Orajel supply. That has dulled it. So perhaps I will finally call the dentist. Did play two good rounds of Settlers of Catan, though. Came in second of four both times.

Roman has decided not to take naps every 3 or so days, like today. He hangs in there pretty well as long as we keep him busy. He got to go to the grocery store this morning, and the playground this afternoon. Plus watch Michigan football.

With the help of friend Kristen and hubby Doug, I have almost finished catching up on all the papers that needed correcting. If I can do the last set of brochures and plan the week ahead for my rotation class, "the plan" can be implemented. "The plan" involves me having a life again and minimal stress during the week. Will keep folks updated.

Things to look forward to this month: possibility of piano finally delivering, nephew's first birthday, conferences at school, a whole Saturday of scrapbooking, friends John and Joan visiting from New York, and Halloween. I love October.
