This was sent out in email: but wanted to journal it so I wouldn't forget!

We went to our friend Jack's house around 5pm (Daddy got out of work early due to trick or treating!). Note the costume change: Roman absolutely REFUSED to be a choo-choo engineer. Wouldn't put his overalls on, slapped them away this morning and yelled "PIRATE! PIRATE!" To justify my spoiling him, I bought a pirate outfit (Captain Feathersword from Wiggles) that is a size 4-6T so he can be a pirate AGAIN. And play dress-up a lot.

Anyway, we had dinner at Jack's house and then went trick or treating in their neighborhood. Roman caught on quick - after the second house he turned to us and said, "go someone's else's house?" After they put candy in his bag he'd stand there, staring into his bag, until we could coax him down the steps again.

After about 7 houses, we jumped in the car and came back to our own neighborhood, where we hit the 4 neighbors right around our house. He was exhausted but got quite a haul!
