2006-08-16 8:29 PM Stately Pursuits? Can I ask a question?
WHAT THE HELL IS THE STRANGE-ASS OBSESSION WITH STATE QUARTERS?????? There is no real reason to collect them if they are handed to you as change. They are worth about, oh let's see, 25 cents!?@!?#%!@!!!!!! Unless you go to the freakin mint and put them in an airtight pouch and never touch them, and put them in your little map display, they are worthless. When you are standing in line, holding everyone up because you want to give exact change, and you can't give it to the person ringing you up, it doesn't make anyone like you. In fact, it makes people DISLIKE you. For the love of god, give them the quarter!! If it's that big of a deal, go to the gas station, or 7-11 and buy a candy bar and look through the change you get there. I'm sure it's only a matter of time til you get another one. Sorry for the rant, but it's been a long night, and in case you couldn't tell, I had people trying to buy $8 worth of stickers, with change, but unable to give me the state quarters in their purse, so they counted out nickels, dimes and pennies. If I have offended any state quarter collectors, I apologize. But really, is it necessary? Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
