Woodstock's Blog Books and other stuff I feel like discussing By education and experience - Accountant with a specialty in taxation. Formerly a CPA (license has lapsed). Masters degree in law of taxation from University of Denver. Now retired. Part time work during baseball season as receptionist & switchboard operator for the Colorado Rockies. This gig feeds my soul in ways I have trouble articulating. One daughter, and four grandchildren. I share the house with two cats; a big goof of a cat called Grinch (named as a joke for his easy going "whatever" disposition); and Lady, a shelter adoptee with a regal bearing and sweet little soprano voice. I would be very bereft if it ever becomes necessary to keep house without a cat. |

2007-12-27 8:50 AM Something you may not know, but should be on the alert for IF you and/or your spouse have had one or two scary stumbles and/or near misses of the same in your darkened bedroom; and
IF you decide it's time to buy a nightlight; and IF the model you obtain throws a series of concentric circle shadows on the ceiling; and IF you have a cat who jumps first to the foot of the bed and then to the window sill; and IF you are half awake when he tries this early one morning; THEN the shadows his body will make on your ceiling as he makes the jump will resemble a giant scary bad creature coming to get you, and you will have one hell of an adrenalin rush which will have you up and out of bed MUCH earlier than you had planned. Just so you know. Read/Post Comments (3) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
