By education and experience - Accountant with a specialty in taxation. Formerly a CPA (license has lapsed). Masters degree in law of taxation from University of Denver. Now retired. Part time work during baseball season as receptionist & switchboard operator for the Colorado Rockies. This gig feeds my soul in ways I have trouble articulating. One daughter, and four grandchildren. I share the house with two cats; a big goof of a cat called Grinch (named as a joke for his easy going "whatever" disposition); and Lady, a shelter adoptee with a regal bearing and sweet little soprano voice. I would be very bereft if it ever becomes necessary to keep house without a cat.

Bunny Update

We spotted one little guy this morning - for whatever reason, we only have one resident. Based on tracks we can spot in the snow, he/she also makes use of a refuge under a pickup truck parked by our next door neighbors' house. This morning, he sat on the snow for a bit, then hopped over to the dried grass under our big blue spruce tree for a nibble. I'm occasionally tempted to buy some rabbit pellets at the agricultural supply store which still does a thriving business in our area, but I stop when I think that this little guy is wild, and needs to survive without human assistance. He appears to be fully grown now, a salt and pepper brown and gray coat, with a lovely little white tail.

Who knows where the second one is. There are many threats to bunny survival in our area, not the least of which is suburban auto traffic, but a more cheerful alternative to contemplate is the finding of a mate and settling in somewhere else.

Considering the well known bunny procreation rate, if the partner did find a mate, I'm relieved they found a home in another location!
