2003-02-06 9:38 PM Impromptu Meals Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.
I got to school a little after lunch today, to be told by the secretary that one of my co-teachers was expecting me to substitute for him at 1pm, in less than one hour. She said he had already left earlier. I didn't know about this. I don't remember talking to him about it. I didn't receive any text message from him about it. But I assume he was going to pay me for it. It was a topic (time zones) that needed either extensive explanation or none at all; everything was in the manual. I opted for the later, giving them the incentive that they can finish it in an hour. In the meantime, I checked some of the papers from yesterday's exam. I also thought of texting my co-teacher about not assuming someone had received your text, especially for something as important as that. But what the heck, I'll just tell him I texted him. Besides, worst case scenario of substitution: the subject is not tackled the way you would have wanted it, and you have to redo the lesson. Also, my thesis adviser showed up. I had to tell the guard to let him in, which means he's still not enrolled. I'm reporting to the chairman that he consulted today. He had some questions about the program, about where some of the constants were taken from. He also told me some things he left out from the computation, and that he was still getting errors as high as 2 hours in the eclipses. I told him to list down all the eclipses he has checked so he can show the panel the accuracy of his software. Maybe I should have asked him when he was planning to defend or report regularly, but I didn't. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
