2003-03-11 5:39 PM Catching Up On The Non-Classroom Part of the Job Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.
During my laboratory class today I finally finished checking my students' papers from their exam last February 5. These are three classes for the same subject, totalling about a hundred students. I'm giving them back to the students' tomorrow, then we can compute their midterm grades, at least two weeks too late, and just when all the course cards have arrived at the office. Now I can schedule their next exam. So much for having a test every two weeks as I originally envisioned at the start of the term. Besides, with all the class activities that I've been giving them, there really hasn't been that much material that can be used as items in a test, until now. I still blame it on the illness that I got. I'll probably have the next exam sometime next week, Wednesday. And tomorrow, we're going to spend the entire session drawing and analyzing different types of ellipses, and determining their importance to Astronomy.
