2006-08-31 3:04 PM Losing Steam In Waiting Days to Finish My "Angry" Tale Student "edition" found at {csi dot journalspace dot com}.
Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on. Still talking about my complaints on our last minute “go to our campus” talk. Almost fifteen minutes since I received the message that the vehicle was on the way to where we were waiting, I received a message from one of the students saying they were still less than a fourth of the way to where we were. In fact, they didn't arrive until more than thirty minutes since the first message, more than an hour since they were supposed to leave the school. That left us less than an hour to get to the venue, still more than thirty kilometers away. Surprisingly, the driver was able to make good time on the road, compensating for passing some congested areas. We got to the gate of the school at exactly 8am. As it turned out, the guy in charge wasn't rude to us or anything, but he wasn't the one who scheduled our visit from the brother president's letter, then changed it right before the weekend, with almost no time to prepare. And they did prepare a snack for us. Since we were part of the same district of schools, he did tell us we had eighty minutes for the full presentation all to ourselves, when other non-district schools are bunched with others and have to share the eighty minutes amongst them. He also did tell us to request for a schedule before the end of the school year, since the entire school year's calendar is decided during the summer. Logical, but not really something that was told to us by the person our school did contact, who – suspiciously, for some reason – we did not meet. As I've mentioned in the student version of this journal, my main regret was that we did not present enough of the students' achievements, which would best indicate the level of inspiration from the environment. Session 1285 couldn't answer what was so good about the school being promoted. Class dismissed. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
