2007-07-20 11:02 AM Volunteers Can Quit, People Assigned to A Task Cannot Student "edition" found at {csi dot journalspace dot com}.
Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on. This is a more detailed account of what I was talking about in the student accessible version. The brother president's investiture was from 10am to 12pm yesterday. After an hour-long program at the covered courts, where there were only two college student presentations (and none by the college faculty), that's when all the guests (200 outsiders) went to the central lobby to look at the paltry history of the school exhibit. To be fair, the College Office of Student Activities' display of all their accomplishments (band festivals, talent quests and acquaintance parties) were detailed and well documented. So was the history of the school with the Styrofoam facade of the main building and the pictures of past administrators. What was pathetic was everything else made by the school's so-called resident "graphic artist" who, in her concentration in her own little world office, acted gruff to all the other volunteers supposed to help her make the display better. She declined several requests for printing additional pictures because she claimed she was overworked already making frames for the few pictures she did print, and which actually made the pictures too heavy that they fell to the floor before the day was over. In fact, there were only three pictures for Science and Technology, and they were all from my recent robotics competition. No depictions of the engineering laboratory equipment or graphical student creations. At 730am yesterday morning my co-teacher was berated by the Integrated School principal because of how few of the exhibits had been put up at the central lobby, when in fact it was Miss Graphic Artist's unexplained absence that was the cause of slow progress. At least the principal apologized to my co-teacher afterwards. I just hope the Assistant Principal in charge of the exhibit is informed of what happened while she was in the hospital with her child and the real person to blame for the hitches yesterday is reprimanded. Session 1725 should only deal with superiors if those are the only ones they respect. Class dismissed. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
