Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on. It's the age of free expression for anyone with a net connection. It still doesn't mean though that there aren't people out there, who, with every word they type, just emphasize how pathetic they are. "Why won't my boyfriend leave his wife for me?" If they have bouts of profound unsatisfaction that recur, that means they're doing something fundamentally wrong in their life that they haven't changed yet, but that their subconscious knows. Posting on their online journal several times a day just repeating the same thing: "I'm sad", "I just finished crying and I don't know what for". Are they seeking sympathy? Well, that doesn't help because if the root of the problem is still there (the unchecked personality) no amount of virtual backpatting will do. There's also talking about themselves in the third person. "Joe is writing this right now." Is that a detachment from the pitiful existence associated with a body or identity? Another phase is an attempt to return to things tried in the past. Take note: I'm saying tried but not necessarily accomplished, like several yearly professions to national writing month but with no output. Posting a sentence or two every hour isn't writing! Not happy with the present they try to paint a glow of happiness to the past, when they weren't as miserable as they are right now (or so they think, when in fact it's just a plateau of regret viewed through a filter of forgetfulness). They don't remember that the negative emotions were what stopped them from continuing those efforts in the first place, because - again - the root of the problem, the wrong attitude, is still there. Session 1941 may subconsciously be channeling that attention seeking twitter suicide-wannabe. Class dismissed. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
