Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on. Last night I just realized how ironic it is that during our team-building activity last August, when each faculty participant was supposed to give a short personal assessment of their life at that moment before putting this heart we made into the center of the activity area, that I said "I'm tired, and I just have to face up to dealing with the consequences of my decision" that the first person to give me a candle afterwards was the dean. No words, but I suppose it was supposed to be a show of support and "hang in there." And now he leaves the school before me, after pushing me to stay. Is this like rats leaving a sinking ship or what? I honestly don't know. @@ It's the busiest season for the Election Commission again as the submission of candidacy forms have just finished, and - as expected - there was at least one person who submitted his papers late, although there were some who (typically of their current behavior) passed theirs at past 5pm of the deadline, since up to the last minute they were still wondering how to fill up their forms about their plans for the school. Maybe, as reflected in the sentiment above, this will be my last year as Election Commission faculty adviser, as I am growing more indifferent with what they've been doing, which may in some angle be the best thing for someone impartial to be, but not in my case, because I know I should be more passionate about protecting the students' voice, which I'm not. @@ In my masteral subject, for one of the courses where we have an assignment to pass every meeting, even though we have reports for eight out of the thirteen meetings of the term and the teacher also assigned the reporters to come up with exercises for the students to answer, she always still gives additional questions. This, I guess on her part is to ensure that even the reporters have to submit their own exercises and will have just as difficult a time in answering them as their classmates. But in my case, I would just have not tasked the students to come up with their own questions, if they're always lacking. Session 2023 can't wait now for the end of the school year. Class dismissed.
