Academic/Personal: More Talk Before One Action

Student "edition" found at {csi dot journalspace dot com}.

Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.

Everyday has been a dread this week, with all the things to do and having to juggle my computer science classes at the same time.

But my time to relax isn't here yet. There are at least two major events I'm NOT AT ALL looking forward to next week.

It's bad enough that the current dean now wants to have a meeting with all the college faculty on Tuesday to talk about his reasons for leaving.

As if everyone cares. Why does it have to be compulsary? Can't only those who are interested go? Not that I'll say I'm indifferent, but it's bad enough when I'm the only full time faculty who has to abandon his class simultaneously, not for the first time.

In his email he also said that the three people preferred by the faculty for the new position of dean are two Ph.D. holders who are husband and wife - the director of the school of engineering married to a former vice principal of the Integrated School, and the director of the school of business.

I'm thankful slacker co-teacher didn't make it, although most likely he voted for himself or had someone vote for him.

Besides that on Monday at 1pm (when I'm supposed to be studying for a midterm exam that evening, so I have to delay my departure) I instead have to attend another meeting with the brother president and the other faculty who were here since 2003, again on the same subject of internal dean replacement.

What I'm wondering is why slacker co-teacher is included, despite the fact that he only got here 2004. Just because he's the only other person who graduated and taught at another campus of the district?

If that's the case, my main role there will be to downplay and dismiss whatever personally-driven mudslinging he'll do against our director.

Session 2049 wants more time to rest before this happens. Class dismissed.
