Mood: Looking For the Floor Stains Read/Post Comments (0) |

Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on. Thanks for the comment yesterday, Netta. There's no other way to describe them and what they hoped to accomplish with that they did. No use mincing words about it. One of the times I hope the roundabout way I know how they could come to find out about this journal reaches their ears - and I'm not talking gaggle search.* On the same subject, the college faculty mailing list is teeming right now with people putting in their two-cents' worth about the draft of the letter to be given to the brother president. I like this better than having a discussion about it because I can actually count how many reactions there were about it, who have the most comments and how long the discussion will take. And I could read them all at my own leisure, most likely when all of this has been resolved and their whining gets exposed as having been futile. @@ In other news, I may have to change the way that I grade the students' exercise notebooks, because before they used to just leave them with me and I return it to them at the start of the next class (which means at least a week if there was an exam) but now the students want to use their exercise notebook to facilitate their review in the next exam. It's great in the sense that all the questions are in one source, but if they get their notebook before I can check it, it would make the last exercise I didn't get to check suspect. Maybe, on the meeting before the exam, I do not give them an exercise but just sign their notebook as part of their attendance, of ask them to just compute for the total of all their exercises so far. And this is also one of the terms where the students didn't ask for their midterm standing, and I forgot to give it to them. Session 2085 just wishes there is an assurance the students can be trusted to bring home their exercise notebooks and not forget them for the next meeting. Class dismissed.
