Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.

I was talking about the stiff back. I have more stories to tell, if I haven't already, and have just totally forgotten (one of the drawbacks of having an online journal: gives me complete abandon on what things to remember and what to just look up again from some earlier writing) that I've said them before.

From last Wednesday I found out that she is the one who teaches the public school scholars "values" every Friday when they were pulled out.

Values, that is, that are from her bygone era for which, if the students pay her complete attention, they will be laughed at or ostracized more than already by the people around them.

And apparently she's from the school of thought that what the students do which she doesn't approve of is part of why they don't succeed in the tasks that they do want, or, as I call it, "It's because you don't wipe your feet before entering the house, that's why you didn't make it to the football team."

I thought that kind of perverted logic was only used by certain types of moms, but I guess old school teachers qualify.

I found this out when the "cool" facilitator I talked about from the second day of the seminar asked the observers to talk about their critique on how the kids did with their "games".

Ms. Stiff Back's comments degenerated into a full blown lecture on how their bad behavior is part and parcel of what is wrong with the country at the moment, with the potential rice hoarding and everything, if they don't change.

During her retirement dinner speech, she talked about having woken up at 3am everyday to start praying, and saying she was never late once in her life (that's maybe because as principal, if she saw she was going to be late, she just phoned ahead to say she will be coming in later that day).

In other words, that also became a full blown lecture to the teachers present who, even though they were there to "honor" her, she still decided to take the opportunity to berate.

Session 2141 should just let sleeping dogs lie since they can't learn new tricks. Class dismissed.
