2008-07-05 11:56 AM P/E/A: Student Leaders Not Wanting to Learn From Others' Mistakes Student "edition" found at {csi dot journalspace dot com}.
Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on. A quick list on what was wrong with the Acquiantance Party last night. First, they didn't consult me on anything, only gave me a copy of the program when I asked, and not in the detail I wanted to. It was ticket priced at PhP120, with no discount for the freshmen. It started late. People already in the courts had to be asked to step out just for the registration. Female emcee was pathetic (more on that in a later post) and mic had to be grabbed from her several times by the games-in-charge. Male host wearing a shirt that said "School sucks". As for games: Picture Perfect? Polo-Toothpick Relay? Water balloons??? Few freshmen attending meant few games participants, so they had to get from the upper years, of which more attended than freshmen. Games-in-charge had to keep promising that the games were fun, and nothing happened with the scores, no prizes given, not even for the awarding stated in the program for the Big Brother/Sister Day. There were many dead air moments that had to be filled with jokes. No stage manager making sure one act is ready to perform between spiels. Even band performers had to pay entrance. Bands only told a week before of their slot. Additional PhP3,800 had to be paid to the sound system for band setup, not in the original proposal and had to be haggled down from PhP5,500 by the OSA secretary. Session 2245 will probably think of more to write about this next time. Class dismissed. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
