P/E/A: Still Too Close to Judge Accurately

Student "edition" found at {csi dot journalspace dot com}.

Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.

And this post chronicles the rest of the day from the post in the student accessible version. Well, that and some insider stories.

College faculty had the option the whole day, since there were activities from 8am to 4pm, to have alternative classes for their students to attend instead of having a lecture.

I, for example, had the Graphics One class attend the Eucharistic celebration in the morning. What I didn't like was that some of the students (freshmen, but maybe being coached by the upperclassmen) were thinking of just signing the attendance and leaving.

It's also due to the fact that there is one killjoy teacher who scheduled an exam from 630 to 8pm for the introductory computer programming class.

So the students actually had cause to want to blow off the Mass, for studying.

But I wasn't going to have any of that, so that I actually stationed myself at the outside of the covered courts so that I could see who are hanging around for the duration and who are not.

Maybe, in retrospect, I could have stayed inside and forced them to attend inside the court as well, and not just in the vicinity.

To be honest, at least when it came to the pep squad performing, there was no need to force them to watch, although they didn't stay for the awarding ceremony of recognition after that.

I was a bit disappointed that four of the people I had approached to be awarded didn't show up, for whatever reason they may have had.

As long as it's not just because of their chronic tardiness, I hope.

I was also surprised that the Brother President had us in for a celebratory or congratulatory snack during the all star games.

I honestly wasn't looking for such rewards, but after all, it was community building.

Session 2279 now has a new catchphrase to replace "for the welfare of the students". Class dismissed.
