2008-07-31 11:32 PM A/P: All Aspects of the Community Touched Today Student "edition" found at {csi dot journalspace dot com}.
Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on. It's technically still today, so I can still post and it won't be considered for tomorrow. It was a very busy day, the first part of which I chronicled in the student accessible version on the Grade 11 students' college orientation. After that was the sports committee meeting, where we talked about scheduling the sports events at least for the next month or so (starting tomorrow). This is so, as they called it, we won't lose the momentum of the all star games. The head of the sports development office gave his apprehensions about that event, saying it shouldn't be that there would be more college students playing than faculty and staff. I couldn't care one way or another as long as there are players from different sectors facing opponents they never have before. Another questionable judgment (my questioning his judgment now) is making the badminton games team points instead of having champions for men's doubles etc. which is what I was looking forward to. I don't know if that will solve the problem of having a lot of teams default their games. Anyway, if it doesn't result in much fun, his plan, then I'll propose mine. @@ Third meeting of the day was on the new equipment that arrived for measuring carbon dioxide emissions, magnetic field strength, motion detection up to six meters, turbidity and others. This was the one where, having bought directly from the foreign sellers instead of their local counterparts, our bill was cut in half. More on that next time, but the rest of the day was spent in traffic. Session 2289 would like to gloss over the bad parts and concentrate on the good. Class dismissed.
