2009-01-05 4:39 PM Someone Acting Old Student "edition" found at {thoughts dot com slash typed no space out no space loud slash blog}.
Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on. Please take note of the new address of the student accessible version above. Journal Space went down for good. First beef of the New Year and the new term: the supposedly stricter enrollment procedures for those who didn’t go for academic advising doesn’t seem to be pushing through. Maybe it’s because the associate dean, who every one of the students go to when their respective academic advisers aren’t available, is, to put it mildly, a big softie. I know for a fact that she allowed a certain student to enlist and get his assessment on the same day. And because his mother accompanies him, he was more “assertive” than ever. His mobile phone was already on low battery, but he had an attachment that allows him to draw power from the USB port, so he just went into the registrar’s office and plugged his phone into one of the computers there to call his mom, when the personnel there wouldn’t even allow him to plug in his flash drive to open the file he made that contains the subjects he wants to enroll in. What has he got against writing the subjects on a piece of paper anyway? This has been going on for several terms now, and he hasn’t learned why people are annoyed with it. And he was acting weirder than usual when his mom was at the accounting window. He was at one of the bulletin boards for the dean’s list (maybe because his crushes’ names were there?) and he was delicately touching the glass with the fingertips of both hands while moving them across the surface with that eerie grin on his face. There’s also this part of an apprehension that he will be my student this term in computer systems organization, which is for computer engineering students. This is the precursor to the switching theory subject that he failed in twice – maybe three times. So at least now I know what the last topic was that they had during that subject, since I had students last term who took it previously. Session 2495 now has some apprehensions about the term about to start. Class dismissed. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
