Getting A Bigger Playground Beats Being Beaten in Theirs

Student "edition" found at {thoughts dot com slash typed no space out no space loud slash blog}.

Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.

I like the kind of movies where the protagonist is in some sort of dilemma that everyday people can relate to, such as having someone else gunning for their job.

The audience is left to think that there is no hope, and that the villain is going to win.

Until the hero gets a change of perspective, and he realizes it's not the job that's important, or the company.

The villain gets the job, but eventually the company goes bankrupt, and the hero is left to pursue his artistic dreams or something completely different from the routine.

@@ After no contact for almost three months, when they probably have gone on with their most important research without me, receiving Taiwanese visitors, Mr. Most Important Research has emailed me yet again - twice.

First is about a high school science contest, and asking if we could send representatives.

Sorry, I'm not handling computational science right now, which is what the coverage is, but astronomy.

Second was about scholarships available at the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration, who were our co-participants in Taiwan.

At the end of the email was another invitation for a talk in the campus where he's at by that administration, to be held next week. Do we have time to prepare?

Personally I'm just going to let this one go to the backburner. I have better things to do than to be bugged by him again incessantly on trivial matters.

@@ The brother president, before he releases the rest of the ten thousand pesos of funds of the college theater group, asked for them to account for - in detail - the first ten thousand that was given to them in August of last year.

This might be difficult for them because from the rumors I've heard, all that money only went to food, and besides the short play they showed for literature fest (which was not as good as two of those shown by the introduction to theater arts classes; I mean, uneven acting, distracting bit players and a point that seems to be wedged in instead of being offered on a platter).

Session 2547 is relieved not to be in their shoes. Class dismissed.
