Something Not Happening Under the Table

Student "edition" found at {thoughts dot com slash typed no space out no space loud slash blog}.

Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.

Well, despite what I told the student leaders yesterday that there will be a reward for those who showed up exactly at 8am, only two out of the eventual 20 that attended got the free breakfast.

So I guess for this generation, the way to their hearts (and feet) isn't through their stomachs.

@@ I also had to caution the students against coming up with entertainment for the freshman orientation like a Dating Game.

I don't know what initial image of the campus the new students will get if that had pushed through.

I was also wary of the somewhat physical games they were suggesting, since we're of the impression that these students are shy and wouldn't go for have such close contact with strangers.

@@ Since I was not in campus during the course card distribution, I asked the registrar if I could send it by email on the day itself, since I had students graduating four days after.

She agreed. I sent my co-teachers the lecture grades, and they provided the consolidated grades with the lab.

This I forwarded to the registrar. I thought she would encode them immediately, since I had to have a change of grades two days after, for a student I thought was graduating.

Now I know that the grades weren't encoded, because one of my students who is transferring is asking for his grade.

And the registrar's personnel had to call me up on my cell, even though I was in school.

So I had to send it to the registrar's personnel again, just so that they could give it to the student.

Now I'm wondering if I have to accomplish the change of grades. Or if it could just be encoded the first time.

But I'm not sassy enough to ask that, so the offer will have to come from them, although I doubt it.

Session 2659 used sass and sassy too many times, and maybe incorrectly. Class dismissed.
