Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on. Are 32 points enough when writing down one's job description, hoping to justify maintaining one's salary and at the same time following the labor code in the law that a person moved from one job to another while in the same company should not be asked to accept lower pay? I'm sure that the paper I passed will be returned to me, and that there will be other tasks involved that I had forgotten to write which I will now have to add, without dread that is. I love this job and all of its quirks and admit that there may be some aspects that I forgot to write down. @@ The school director isn't here. There is another late transferee whose list of subjects to be enrolled in for the term, keeping in mind what the registrar's office has indicated to be credited from their former school. The receptionist at the registrar's office in fact even went up here asking to see the director, and we had to say he isn't here. Side rant: I don't know what is it about some personnel that bug me when they ask you about someone they want to talk to who isn't there and they expect you to know that other person's exact movements or possible whereabouts even though you already said that other person hasn't even been seen in the office this day. And now here's the perk about being the next senior person in this office. Even though it is no longer in my job description (I'm a part time faculty now, being a full-time coordinator) they're so desperate to not want to ask the new enrollee to return some other day (it's Friday after all, and most likely that means one more day wasted on Monday getting assessed instead of attending classes already) that they as me to do it. Another side comment: wow, that last sentence really takes the cake in segue thoughts, doesn't it? I'm sitting here waiting for the student to show up, after the college secretary apparently suggested to the registrar receptionist that I take care of the matter. Not that I can refuse. I just hope that the credited subjects from this student's previous school is already done, because I don't know if I would be the best person to do that, and I know that that job has been botched up before by that same office with previous batches. @@ Done! I avoided having to deal with subjects that may or may not be credited such as the chemistry lab when the chemistry lecture was failed (so she will have to retake both here with our somewhat retarded one grade for lecture and lab policy). @@ And speaking of that office, apparently the printing of the ID cards of the freshmen will be delayed because unlike last year, it was NOT outsourced (although last year the outsourcing was the cause of the delay), and the personnel handling it are also still working on the enrollment of the late students at the same time. Session 2671's day apparently has not ended. Class dismissed. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
