Mood: What I Have Here Is Read/Post Comments (0) |
2009-07-07 11:59 AM A Failure to Coordinate Student "edition" found at {thoughts dot com slash typed no space out no space loud slash blog}.
Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on. I have to ball out the dance troupe today for going to a contest outside the school without scheduling it as an activity. And it had to be the dean who would find out, who saw them practicing last Saturday in the central lobby of all places, without a permit to use it! Even the P.E. dance classes have to have a permit to use that place for their practical exams! At the same time, they have a standing request to reserve the mirror room for the rest of the term up to 11pm on four weeknights, 8 hours on one weekday and Saturday too! I will have to insist that these students get parents' permission for these activities, as it would be interfering too much with their academics, which is still their first priority. I have to check first if they will use the excuse that I set that activities have to be approved a month in advance. @@ I found out yesterday that the faculty computers in the main campus don't have blockers anymore. As in all the old sites I couldn't go to were accessible again, even online journals and browser games. @@ And to give the effect that some time has passed since I wrote the first part, I got to talk to the president of the dance troupe. What the dean witnessed last Saturday were the members of the troupe practicing for an outside contest, which is part of the Youth for Christ. At the same time they have complaints about being asked to leave if they go beyond the schedule. Also they say that they only stay until 11pm if there is a contest, but otherwise they only stay until 9pm. Well, they should say so in the reservation form and that a new reservation form should be made for 11pm, when it's needed, otherwise they will only stay until 9pm. They also have an additional complaint about the audio visual services not lending them the speakers anymore. I will have talk to the personnel about it, since if it were serious there should be a complaint against the students. @@ Second "full" day spent at the office of student affairs. It's very noisy compared to the engineering faculty room most of the time, and I admitted that to the dean. I think, since she didn't comment on that part of my reply email, that she agrees I can hang out at the faculty room when I have to prepare for my classes, which is only two days a week. Session 2719 stops here. Class dismissed. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
