Definitely Leaving with a Bang

Student "edition" found at {thoughts dot com slash typed no space out no space loud slash blog}.

Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.

Today (mirroring the start of the F My Life site) I found out that the outgoing president of the parents of college students association has added another casualty to his insensitivity days before vacating his post.

I'm talking about the college administrative assistant, who now has to print out, label, address and seal all the envelopes for the parents to invite them to the general assembly this Saturday.

It's bad enough that he has this unfounded bias against the student affairs secretary which made him not ask her for assistance even though it was her efforts that got him elected in the first place.

He along with his cohort officer also approached the secretary asking her how she did the mailing, but didn't actually ask her for help.

Even when he approached the registrar's office for consultation and they referred them back to the secretary, he still was pigheaded.

So what did he do? He asked the dean for assistance, which since she is so kind, she passed on to her assistant.

And what does she get for it? He just waved her a thank you for doing something that she is doing for the first time in all the years of existence of the parents of college students association.

Everyone, including the dean and the president, are all saying we only have to put up with this jerk a little bit longer until he is replaced.

Part of the problem though is that he has already extended his term by three weeks delaying the date of the general assembly just because they were ignoring their biggest source of help for their mailing.

I told the assistant to tell them that she can't do the stuffing in envelopes this week because of all the things that need to be done for the foundation week, and that they should at least be able to do that manual task themselves, but even the administrative assistant is apprehensive that would have repercussions on her.

Bad enough that they have had no support whatsoever in any of the activities in the foundation week because we never approached them formally since we were given the impression that they would have their elections at the start of the month and therefore we could as for financial support from the new officers since it was supposed to be them in position by now.

This guy even goes around saying things like the way he runs things is the way that big businesses run, when in fact it's obvious to us that he is just stroking his enormous ego, and twists the rules to feed that.

I just hope the student leaders heeded my plea to get their parents to attend so that we would have a more sympathetic board sitting for the remainder of this school year, who would support their activities, and not one who doesn't care anymore because his own child stopped attending due to failures.

@@ On another front: I guess I'm still blessed. I purposely intended not to attend my masters class today because of all the things that need to be done for the foundation week (as well as writing this journal) and I just a few minutes ago received an email from my teacher telling us we won't be meeting today.

Session 2735 will work my butt off this week, in all fronts, if that kind of analogy is visually possible. Class dismissed.
