Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on. So what can I talk about as the term winds down? If I am already like this now, how much more on Monday, when I will be in school again, for the first ever quote-unquote Clearing Up Day? Ah, the college faculty party last night is a topic. People were asked to contribute a hundred pesos each. Given the volume of the food that remained though when we were winding down at an inglorious 1030pm, more people paid than actually attended. Not that I am complaining; I was stuffed. And at the same time I probably sweated it out. I brought my WII along, and a lot of us played Ray Man Raving Rabbids: TV Party, especially the Shake it TV mini-games, of which there were seven. Since I only had two controllers, that meant that there was a line waiting for pairs to play. At least now they know the value of what I started this past month of having a two hour session once a week after classes. In fact, they want to make it three times a week now, but not Friday if it is Monday and Wednesday first. Maybe it will be Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Thankfully I was able to buy a better padded bag for the console since it has now become more or less portable, but enough about that for now In fact, it could have caused some people to hog the game since the tennis is competitive without being as tiring as boxing. On another note, it was sad to see the son of our dean have to stop playing early on because he still had classes (an exam? hopefully not, maybe just a Christmas party) the next day, a Saturday. Maybe he could join us one of these nights when his mom will be a little more lenient. Along the same lines, there were a lot who had to leave early, despite the party already being scheduled on a Friday. I guess for some there really are higher priority obligations and hanging around with co-workers is not one of them. It was inevitable though that eventually talk would return to work, especially the changes in campus for the next year. Going back to the game though, thank the global community, I know that if there is a problem it is not mine and there are those who have probably solved it and posted it online for everyone to learn from. Session 2895 getting ready to rest. Class dismissed. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
