Hey, we just had an earthquake a while ago. A fairly strong one, I guess. The floor did this really odd-feeling undulating thing, and then it stopped. We all looked around and said, "Did I just have a dizzy spell, or was that an earthquake?" Then it did it again.

Had a very nice weekend, which I'd like to post about in more detail later. Short version follows. I saw Return of the King. Liked it overall, had some quibbles with particular filming decisions, will probably be seeing it again with assorted family members at least once more before it leaves theaters. I'm really looking forward to the extended DVD. (I'm hoping that at least a few favorite moments from the book that didn't show up in the theatrical release were filmed and will show up in the extended version.)

Daniel and I went to a lovely party hosted by Mary Anne and Jed. There were amazing quantities of amazing food.

Haven't heard a peep from either the body shop or my insurance company about the car. No exciting new injuries have yet manifested from the accident. Let's hope it stays that way.

Now I'm at work, and I guess I'd better get back to it.
