I've rededicated this journal to my education concerns. My slam poetry stuff will now be solely on my livejournal. I am hallawayjoe there too. So, I am getting ready for an onslaught of papers. I am not sure how successful I was this semester. But I plan to use more conferences next semester to ensure that my students know what I want. I think paper 4 should be an extension of paper 3. The trick is to create maximum learning with less work on my part. I shouldn't have to put more than 20 hours of my own time per week... infact... maybe 10. remember... I only get paid less than 20K. But still I want to do my best for the students, without going insane. I think if I can create a website just for them... it will have more info. I think, we will read less of dialogues. I may use the overhead more. I would like to have one day of group discussion per week. at least a few minutes. I will show some fun videos. I have to see if I can show some of the PBS things I taped. I am sure its okay. I plan to show some films, maybe listen to some music. Might as well make some of the learning fun. Also I will have more inclass writing relevant to the formal essays. I would like to make the class as useful as possible. ] |
