Just when I thought I'd get a lot of writing done, the final part of the computer arrived! I installed the video card fairly quickly, but had endless trouble all night trying to get the computer to work. Just when I managed to get it working and install Windows XP and some other apps, I decided to move it to the other room.

Well for whatever reason, it didn't want to work after I moved it. After messing around with the BIOS and various other things, the computer finally decided to cooperate around 11pm. I've got my fingers crossed that it'll behave itself now :|

So day 3 of the short story challenge was a bit of a bust! I did manage to do some research for two of the new stories though, so it wasn't a complete debacle. If I can pry myself away from this new toy for long enough, I might be able to make significantly more progress tomorrow (or should I say -- today)...
