Carn, write! a writing journal 514529 Curiosities served |
2005-10-21 12:37 AM Progress 10/20 Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Content Read/Post Comments (0) Wrote another 543 words this evening, continuing the story I started two days ago. It was a little tougher tonight--I didn't particularly feel like writing, and even when I got started, the words seemed to feel forced and a little clunky. Still, I did manage to get a decent number of words down, and way more than my goal, too. I think it's a good idea to persevere even when I feel too tired to write, when I wonder what the heck I'm doing, or when every word seems like pure garbage, since it'll be beneficial in the long run. There's only one way to build a writing habit, and that's to stick at it day after day, even if it does seem at times like pushing poop up-hill. Eventually it should become as much a part of the daily routine as brushing my teeth, or eating breakfast. I have no idea how this particular tale will turn out (and from my present vantage point, I'd rather not think about it), but sitting down and writing it sure beats whingeing about not writing and living up to the title of this journal ;) Now what are you waiting for?
