2014-04-14 9:19 AM An Extra-Added Shout-Out for a Monday Morning! Short and sweet - here's another Shout-Out web page that is very special to me - because the person mentioned throughout the article is our friend and frequent commenter in my blog, Sandy Freel.
The film, "Sons & Daughters of Thunder," is "...a docudrama being produced by Emmy-nominated filmmakers Kelly and Tammy Rundle of Fourth Wall Films. It is based on a play Hawley wrote in the 1970s that tells the true story of anti-slavery debates at Cincinnati's Ohio Lane Theological Seminary in 1834." [Melody Parker in WCF Courier article] The first link below is a write-up of how Sandy was able to be of assistance to the makers of a film in providing vital props to make the film historically accurate. Sandy's good at this. She has been collecting antiques all her life. WCF Courier article about this film. Here's a short little video of this film for a peek: Nice job Sandy! ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ I am so messed up this week. That jury duty I had last week (has it really been a whole week?) threw me for a loop and I am not quite recovered from it even now. We here in Boston have Marathon news on day and night and for some reason, Paul has been telling me that the Boston Marathon was to be run today, Monday the 14th... and I've kept questioning him on this saying "isn't it kind of early this year?" but he has insisted... so I believed him. I should have just looked it up! Usually when the Boston Marathon is run, the Red Sox will play their home baseball game at Fenway a few hours earlier in the day, like at 11 a.m., so they won't be clogging up the streets at the same time. But the Sox left last night for Chicago so I've been all confused! Finally, I looked it up online and come-to-find-out, Paul was actually WRONG! It's not til next Monday! It's really confusing living in my head lately... Cheers, I think, Bex Find your heart, open up both your eyes. We can all know every thing without ever knowing why. It's in every one of us, by and bye. ~ John Denver & The Muppets ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ 2003 - Present Archives at Diaryland Read/Post Comments (3) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
