David has had a run of B’s recently.

beep—We’ve been beeping his nose since the beginning. Then he started beeping ours which was a little treacherous as he navigated between the eyes. Now, he’s adding sound effects.

ball—This was big as we threw orange ping pong balls all over the house.

bar—After I bought three boxes of berry cereal bars, David announced that he only likes the chocolate ones. He also has a tendency to take one bite and dribble bits of sticky chocolate krispies all over himself and the floor.

baby—This first appeared Monday. I was crouched next to him with Lisa’s three month old in the frontpack. He looked straight at Benjamin and said, “Baby.” Yesterday, as I was struggling to get his jammies on, he lifted up his tummy, patted it, and said, “Baby.” Today, he and John were playing together. He picked up his plastic baby doll, kissed it, and said, “Baby.”

breakfast—This is distinct from backpack though they run close.

bye-bye—He’s not just saying it on cue. This morning he dropped a chain in a box and said, “Uh oh. Bye bye.”
