Strongbow isn’t a beer, it’s fermented rotten apples. Mmmmm!! This is a dry, DRY, sweet but not too sweet, and dry, English hard cider. Strongbow has good carbonation for a cider as well as a decent alcohol presence. This one is strange at first but you will warm up to it in no time…
Franziscaner Hefe Weizen was next and I can’t find a web page to link to for this one. The Franziscaner was very light in flavor, usual yeasty hefe weizen but very light, refreshing too. Although hefe weizens are supposed to be served cold, this one picks up in flavor as it warms. I would let stay out of the fridge for a little while before serving so that you don’t miss too much of the citrus flavor that makes this one so good.
