2002-10-10 8:31 AM Good News / Bad News Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Tired I am /so/ tired. Once again I just couldn't fall asleep last night. I think I got less than a half hour of sleep. Blah. So, I have two happy things to post. First off, I had to take my car into the Lexus dealer yesterday. That's not a good thing, but the experience was. That dealership (the one in Glendale) kicks much ass! They checked me in extremely quickly and got me a loaner car. That meant I was able to go home and get some reading done for school. I dropped the car off at 11am and they called me at 2pm to let me know it was ready. That's pretty damn speedy for a dealer. The Ford dealer would have me wait in their crappy ass waiting room while they worked on my car - and then I would have to drop it off at 7am and usually wasn't out of there until 5pm. They also washed my car which rocked cause it really needed a bath and I just don't have the time to take it to the car wash. Heh. I don't even have the time to sleep these days. The other good thing is that my first class this morning is cancelled. I don't mind Community Property, but when I'm dead tired, the less classes I have to deal with the better! Unfortunately it doesn't change the time I got here. Still had to get here by 8am in order to get parking. Now, onto the bad stuff - which in my opinion is pretty damn bad (and annoying to boot). I have been called to jury duty. Now, normally that would be pretty cool - I had fun the last time I was a juror. But this could screw up law school royally. The days that I am being called in are the last full week of school this semester. Which means that I'll be missing some very important information for my finals. And if I get put on a case, I could be missing finals. I'm going to try and postpone it, however you can only postpone for 90 days. Which means that I'll be missing class next semester for it. That's still not a good thing, but if I have to go in January or February at least I have the time to try and catch up on what I missed by the time finals roll around in May. *sigh* But if they decide to call me at the beginning of March after I postpone then I won't get a honeymoon. I need your advice and suggestions here people. What do I do? If I miss a certain number of classes I get dropped from those classes - which means 15k for a semester gets thrown down the drain and I don't think my parents would be willing to pay for an extra semester if something like this happened. They're already paying for my school and /all/ of my other expenses. Help! No one usually responds to my pleas of help on here, but I really need all the advice I can get. So, if you have the time to read my journal, please take a little more time to drop me an e-mail (just click on the Email Me link to your left). I would appreciate it greatly. ---------- This is pretty cool:
