Rob's Back Is Trying To Kill Him
Previous Entry :: Next Entry

Mood:
Tired

Saturday Rob and I slept in a bit cause we were both extremely tired. After meandering around the house for a bit we headed up to Northridge. We looked around the mall for awhile. I went into Torrid to check out the Halloween costumes and ended up getting a vinyl nurse's uniform. I don't know if it will be my Halloween costume or not, but it definitely won't go to waste! It was too cute to pass up. Besides, Rob /really/ liked it. So, we'll see, I might just end up using it for other non-Halloween things. We also looked around in some of the other mall stores. He got two pairs of sweat pants and I got some new perfume. My old stuff (Sexy Graffiti by Escada) is starting to run out and so I picked up something new (Pleasures Intense by Estee Lauder). We stopped at the A&W stand in the food court for some root beer floats, and I managed to spill mine all over the table. Yes, I am a total clutz.

After the mall we headed over to a nearby movie theatre and saw Red Dragon. It was really good. Way better than the original version ManHunter, but not as good as the book. But, if you like the series, I'd recommend it. While at the theatre we also saw a preview for a film called The Truth About Charlie. I nearly started screaming at the screen. It's a remake (and looks to be a HORRIBLE remake) of one of my favorite movies, Charade. Thandie Newton takes on the role that Audrey Hepburn originaly had it looks like she's trying to pretend to be her (and failing miserably). And Marky-Mark plays the role that Cary Grant played in the original. Whoever came up with idea to re-make Charade into this piece of shit deserves to be shot. And the casting director should be flogged. There goes the last remaining vestages of my respect for Hollywood.

After the movie it was pretty late (around 1am) so Rob and I ended up grabbing dinner at a nearby Denny's. Once we got home, we both pretty much passed out.

On Sunday we were going to try to see Stacy again before she took off, but it didn't work out. When Rob got out of bed that morning he slipped a disk. He was in intense pain and wasn't able to go anywhere. I spent the day at home helping him out. He stayed in bed for awhile, and then I helped him walk to the couch and layed him down on it. He wanted to be in the living room so he could "see the outside one last time". He's a very bad patient. He kept trying to get up and do things and that only made his condition worse. He finally stayed put when I threatened to super glue him to the sofa. So for most of the day he was stuck on the sofa watching baseball while I sat on the floor by him and got some reading done for school. The only times I left his side was for a quick shower and to run out to SAv-On to get some medication. We ordered in from El Torito for dinner and watched TV together (Charmed, Angel, Anna Nicole - you know, quality TV). We got to bed at a decent time, but I had a very hard time sleeping. I was way worried about him and so I kept waking up to make sure that he was all right. He, on the other hand, was out like a light. I gave him something to help him sleep and it seemed to work very well.

And that brings us to today. I'm at school and he ended up going in to work even though he probably should have stayed at home. On the bright side, he's spending a lot of his day at work with a doctor. He went to the employee health nurse first thing and is going to try and get in with an orthopedic surgeon as well. Since he never posts anymore, I'll try and keep you all updated on his condition.

What protester am I?

I am completely irrational: The CIA has been smuggling in cocaine in the bodies of dead babies they killed while fulfilling thier obligations to the secret trilateral commission! I will scream and yell and dress up in silly outfits until people hear my very accurate truths of the reality of the situation of the reality of things to come!

What protester am I?
