Rob and I slept in today and once we got up my Mom, my Grandma (Nana), Rob, and I went into town so that I could get a flu shot. The nurse is a close friend of my Mom's and we talked for a little while. She really wasn't supposed to give me the shot considering I still have bronchitis and all, but she did so anyway cause I really need one. During the years when I haven't been able to get one I've usually ended up in the hospital at least once with pneumonia or something like that.

After my shot we all headed to the mall. The closest mall to my Mom's house is in Dubuque Iowa. We also went there yesterday to finish up our Xmas shopping. We needed to stop by there again today because I needed to get a new pair of shoes. I didn't bring my regular sneakers along with me because they can get very slippery in snow or water, but the boots that I brought are extremely painful. In fact, the backs of my heels have bruises on them from the boots. So we went to the mall and made a run to Payless. My Grandma got two pairs of shoes, my Mom got one, and I got a comfy pair of boots and a cute pair of sneakers. Both yesteday and today the mall was surprisingly empty for being so close to Xmas. Heh, I guess that's one good thing about being in the middle of nowhere!

On the way home from the mall we got some dinner and now we're hanging around my Mom's house. It's so nice to be out here. I missed this place and I really need the time to unwind.
