Rob and I got to sleep in once again today. Early this afternoon my Mom, Rob, and I headed over to Dick's (the local grocery store) and picked up dinner. My Mom got turkey and the whole nine yards, but the store cooks it all for you. All of the great dinner with little work. An interesting tidbit about Dick's. You know how Ralph's, Von's, and other various grocery stores have their club cards? Well, so does Dick's. Only there it's the "Dick's Insider Card". Amusing, eh?

Anyhoo, my Mom, Rob, my Grandma (Nana), and I ended up pretty much gorging ourselves at dinner. The food was great and Rob and I were glad that we didn't have to have another run in with something like Spurkey as we did for Thanksgiving dinner. After dinner we whined about being too full and then headed out to Dubuque (in case you haven't noticed - almost everything interesting goes on in Dubuque, which is pretty sad considering the fact that Dubuque is in Iowa and my Mom lives in Illinois).

We drove to a park where some local charity group had an incredible Xmas light display. We drove through the park and looked at the lights and then headed back to my Mom's house. Once back here we opened a few presents. My Grandma opened a gift from Jeane and Roy (my aunt and uncle) and a gift from Rob and I. My Mom opened a gift from Jeane and Roy, a gag gift from Rob and I, and a real gift from Rob and I. And Rob and I opened a gift from Jeane and Roy (a tin of chocolates) and a gift from my Mom (a little reindeer for each of us which poops out jelly beans).

Now my Mom and Grandma are watching another lame ass Xmas movie upstairs and Rob and I are messing around on my Mom's currenly well behaved (albeit possessed) computer.

Rob's not too happy right now because he tried to call his brother (John) to wish him a happy birthday and found out that the Navy decided to not let John spend the holidays at home. He was supposed to be able to be home on leave for a bit because he just got back to the States. However, due to the problem with Iraq he was called back early and gets to spend the holidays with his troops. Thanks Dubya!
