Mood:
Happy

Yes, that's right boys and girls. I'm at school. And my mood-o-meter says "happy". How can this be? Well, I don't have to be here for classes or anything that would get me down. I had to come up here to pick up my cap and gown. That took a few minutes and since I drove all the way up here I thought that I might as well log on for a bit and check e-mail. I now have my cap (which looks like a weird artist's beret and not a usual graduation cap), my gown (which is thick, black and purple velvet - I'm gonna swelter in the heat and sun this Friday), and my hood (yay, doctorate!). Just two days and then I have a doctorate. This is too cool.

Well, I shouldn't stay on the computer here for too long. My Mom is getting into town today. Her plane comes into LAX around 2-something and then she's taking a limo to the hotel across the street from my place. I told her that she was more than welcome to stay at our place, but she's doing the hotel thing anyway. Blah. I do need to be around when she gets to the hotel though cause once the limo drops her off she won't have any car access. It'll be nice to see her. She's only in town until Sunday, but still, I like hanging out with her whenever I can. Unlike my Dad she cares enough to be at my graduation. Okay, time to run!

Weight lost on my infomercial diet so far: 5 lbs and I'll probably gain more over the next few days. Rob got me a box of Godiva. *drools* Oh well, once the Godiva is gone I'll just have to go gung ho on the diet again.
Days on the diet: 1 month and 18 days.
