2003-10-02 4:51 PM Shower Power Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Clean Read/Post Comments (0) You don't know how unbelievably nice a shower can be until you desperately need one. I was so sick yesterday that I had to skip taking a shower for fear of passing out in the middle of it. I spent most of the day in bed, but still I started feeling icky. This morning my hair was in knots and I felt disgusting. I jumped into the shower and proceeded to spend the next 40 minutes or so cleaning up. It felt unbelievably good. When I got out to towel off I felt happy and awake and clean. A shower is some seriously powerful stuff when you need one. I am grungy no more and I can now brush through my hair. I know it sounds weird, but I feel so much better now. My Mom got pretty worried about me yesterday when I was sick. What I didn't mention on here was that I passed out the day before I felt ill - so she was worried that the symptoms might have been of a consussion. Now I think that passing out was just a precursor to whatever the hell illness came on yesterday. But I'm feeling better now. Last night Rob managed to get some food and some soup into me and I was able to keep it down. This morning I felt a lot better. I slept in late because my body needed it and I now feel much better than I did yesterday. Shannon invited me out tonight for some networking, and while I truly appreciated the thought, I had to say no. After yesterday I don't think I'm up for going out tonight. I want to make sure that I'm 100% better before heading out. So, today I'm pretty much just lounging around the house and making sure I'm all better. I NEED to make sure I don't get sick again anytime soon because this weekend is going to be very fun. D&D is scheduled for tomorrow night and then on Saturday I head to the Halloween Haunt at Knott's with some friends. I want to be feeling fine for all of that. I need some fun. Life has been kind of boring recently. ----------
