Five Questions From Bryce

Bryce recently e-mailed my five questions over to me. Unlike some people (BEREK) I figured I'd answer them since he took the time to make them for me.

Once again, if I haven't given you five questions and you want them from me, leave a comment and ask.

--------------------

1. What single event in your life has given you the greatest feeling of accomplishment?

Passing the bar. The moment I saw my name on the pass list I started shaking and crying and really couldn't believe it. It was nice to know that my hard work paid off. It was even cooler to know that *I* actually managed to pass the California bar on the first try. Even my own Dad (who is an attorney in Illinois) was expecting that I would have to take it at least one more time.

2. What is the movie you've watched more than any other?

"The Lost Boys" - I've lost count of how many times I've seen it. I never got to see it in the theatre on its original release (my Dad took me to see "Monster Squad" instead), but I wore out 2 Beta tapes, 5 VHS tapes, and one Laserdisk (I found out about disk rot the hard way before most people did). I currently have a still-functioning DVD of it. I have also seen it in a theatre back in college when Universal played it before Halloween and at the Nuart a few months ago when they made it their Friday midnight movie. I know the whole damn thing by heart and have worn out 3 casette tapes of the soundtrack. I'm still on the first CD of the soundtrack though.

3. What ability would you rather have: to instantly will yourself asleep for however long you want or to go without sleep as though you don't need it (you can still sleep normally if you want).

That's easy, I would love to be able to go without sleep for as long as I want. I have sleep apnea so no matter how much I sleep I'm still always tired because I can't get into the deeper stages of sleep like most people can. It would be nice for me and my body if I didn't need any sleep at all. It would probably also make me a much more efficient attorney considering the hours that most attorneys work. As long as I could sleep if I so chose to (which you said I could) I would most definitely choose to be able to go without sleep.

4. Name a food most people like and you can't stand, and name a food or food combination you love but most people wouldn't.

Two of the foods that I hate that most people I know like are onions and tomatos. Because of this I also hate salsa. I hate onions because for some reason the taste and texture of them set off my gag reflex. If there's an onion in something I'm eating I have a hell of a time trying not to immediatly throw up. I hate tomatos because they taste like ass. Considering the fact that most salsas are made up of mostly tomatos and onions - I stay far away from that stuff. Besides, it messes something fierce with my acid reflux.
Weird things I like. Hrm, let's see. I dig tuna fish, but that's not really something too weird. I like a lot of cheeses that a lot of people would think are gross (like Brie). But, my oddist one would be a drink. I like mixing Diet Vanilla Pepsi (or regular) with milk. I started it just to see what it would be like since the soda messes with my reflux because of the acid, and I really liked it. Most people I know think it's nasty when they see me drink it, but if they try it think it's not too bad. It tastes pretty much like a melted ice cream soda.

5. How much money could you acutally spend in 48 hours?

However much I had. Seriously, I don't think there's a limit. I have expensive tastes and if I had unlimited funds in 48 hours I would start buying clothing, purses, everything in Tiffany's, vacations, cars, a few houses. The amount of money I could spend in 48 hours if given the chance (and unlimited funds) would scare most people. And that's just counting what I would buy for myself ... I'd be spending even more on things for my friends and paying off their debts, getting my Mom a house in Malibu, etc. So, to answer your question ... all of it. =)
