As with a lot of my recent weekends I haven't had the time to post (or be on line) until now. I guess that's a good thing because it means I'm finally having a little bit of a life. At least on the weekends anyway.

Friday was a normal day. Rob went to work, I job hunted, etc. There was no D&D and so Rob and I made plans to hang out with Berek and Pita. They came over after Pita got out of work and changed out of her scrubs. The four of us stopped at a nearby McDonalds and then headed out to Santa Monica. None of us had been to the Promenade in a while and we decided that it sounded like a fun idea. It was. We wandered around a bit, stopped in some stores, and had fun. Berek and I noticed that it's a bit on the decline again. It's getting the same creepy and scuzzy feeling back that it had in the mid 90's. It's still a fun place to be though. Rob got me an adorable (and somewhat evil looking) little teddy bear at Puzzle Zoo. Berek introduced Rob and I to our first "Wetzel Dog" (a pretzel wrapped hot dog - yummy). All in all it was a fun time, but we didn't get to go in as many stores as we wanted to. We got there around 9pm and most places closed around 10pm. So, we're probably going to head back over there during the day (so we have no worries about when things close) sometime soon. Possibly this coming Sunday. After the Promenade, Berek and Pita dropped Rob and I off at home and they headed off to Berek's house. Rob and I watched a bit of TV and then got some sleep.

Saturday Rob and I slept in. We did some around the house stuff during the day and then went out at night. We decided to head over to Burbank and check out some stores and do some shopping. We went to the Media City Center mall so that we could do both in one place. We got our movie tickets right away and then looked around the mall a bit. I ended up picking up some more work clothes (a pair of suit pants that I needed to get to match a jacket and a shell for under a jacket) at Lane Bryant. We looked around in a few other stores, had some italian sodas, and then headed in to see a 9pm showing of 50 First Dates. It was a great (and really funny) movie. I'm very glad we saw it. We were both in the mood for comedy and this was a rather good one. Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore still have very good on screen chemistry. After the movie Rob and I decided that some dinner was in order so we stopped at the Carl's Jr. that was on our way home. Mistake. Big mistake.

Apparently they hire the dumbest people on earth to work the night shift at Carl's on a Saturday night. We placed our order (chicken strips, a burger, and fries) and then waited to get it to go. After about ten minutes of waiting we saw what looked like our order come out and get handed off to a group of teenagers. We commented that it looked like our order, but they said it was the teens order. Odd that people would have the exact same order as we did. Well, we were right because a few minutes later the kids brought the order up to the front telling them it was wrong. So, they had to re-do our order from the beginning. After another fifteen mintes or so of waiting they finally gave us our order. Right when we got into the car Rob decided to check our order to make sure it was correct. Burger? Check. Fries? Check. Chicken strips? Only half the order was there. So, Rob went back in to let them know that they had jipped us on our chicken strips. Instead of just putting a few more in the box for us they *threw out* the messed up order (of perfectly fine chicken) and re-cooked the correct number of strips. Another ten minutes later Rob comes back out to the car with the chicken. *screams* The people there were so freakin' retarded that it kind of scared Rob and I.

So, about 40-some minutes after we had originally gone into Carl's for our to go order, we left with our correct order. When we got home we watched some TV and had our dinner. About a half an hour after eating Rob started feeling rather ill. I think there was something funky with the burger. He started getting major stomach pains and I was trying to get him to allow me to take him to the hospital (he was in SEVERE pain), but he wouldn't do it. So, we had him take some Pepto and some gas meds, but they really didn't help. We watched a bit more TV and then put him to bed hoping it would help whatever was wrong with him.

He seemed better on Sunday, though he would get stomach cramps from time to time. I really think that burger was undercooked or just plain bad. Around 2pm Berek, Pita, and Carrie came over for D&D. We've decided to do it every week, but alternate between Sundays and Fridays. Al couldn't make it because he was once again "rollin' wit his homies" and Bryce couldn't make it because he had plans to go to an Oscar party. We all ordered in pizza, gamed, watched the Oscars in the background, and had fun. After the game the five of us decided to head out and hit the Game Zone in Pasadena. Berek, Pita, Rob, and myself got some D&D miniatures. After the game store we all went to Coco's for some food. After Coco's Berek and Pita dropped Rob, Carrie, and myself off at our place. Carrie ran up to grab some stuff and then headed out. Rob and I sat down and watched Adult Swim and then headed to bed.

Today it's back to more of the same. Rob's at work, I'm job hunting and doing the laundry. Not much of interest is going on. I spoke on the phone with a friend who's having some legal troubles and now I'm taking a job hunting break and posting. So, that was my weekend. I'm REALLY looking forward to next weekend and to one week from today. One week from today is our one year wedding anniversary. Rob's taking off work and we're going to head to Disneyland. Yay!
