Sorry that I wasn't able to post any earlier than this, but yesterday was a bit on the busy side (and I didn't have a chance to log on) and today I've been having problems logging on and staying logged on. Apparently Earthlink went kaput on the whole west coast. Or so they said.

Anyway, Berek came over yesterday around 11:30am and we took off for Good Sam right after he got here. He's a total sweetie and wanted to be there for both Rob and myself just in case the news was bad. We met Rob at his work around noonish. Berek freaked Rob (and other hospital employees) out a bit because he was wearing a purple and gold t-shirt. The shirt was for a brand of pet food called Wellness (what we feed our cats), but the colors were the exact same as a bunch of annoying union reps had been wearing recently. Rob kept having to tell people that Berek was NOT a union rep. It was really kind of funny.

We headed to the hospital cafeteria (which actually isn't all that bad) for lunch. After lunch we spent some time in Rob's office. Berek read a magazine and a book, I read over the papers for tomorrow's moot court, and Rob worked. A little before 2:30pm we all headed to the doctor's office. Rob filled out some paper work and then went back to see the doctor. He was back there a fairly long time (around an hour). Then one of the doctor's aids came out and said "Mrs. Rossel, the doctor would like to speak with you". I nearly had my own heart attack there. I felt queasy and scared because I was worried as to why the doctor would want to have me back there as well. Berek looked kind of pale and worried as well. I headed back into the room where Rob and the doctor were.

Luckily, my fears were unfounded (though Rob and the doctor did suddenly realize that calling me back there in that way might have been a bad idea). The doctor wanted me back there so he could explain to me what was going on (so that Rob wouldn't have to try). The doctor thinks that Rob's heart is fine. He said that the episodes that Rob had sounded like anxiety problems and while that's not a minor thing, it's a hell of a lot better than heart issues. They did an EKG on Rob and it came out normal. They checked out his blood pressure and said it was that of a teenager (114/70). The doctor still wanted more tests done (today Rob had a bunch of blood tests done - no results as of yet and they want to get a stress test in sometime next week) just to make sure that it really wasn't his heart. We have a feeling that his cholesterol test is going to come back pretty crappy, but we're working on making that better. The doctor recommended that Rob get some exercise and start eating better. He also recommended that he lose about five pounds or so.

After the doctor visit the three of us headed back to Rob's office. Rob worked, Berek read, and I turned Rob's computer mouse into an evil looking mouse. I gave it evil eyes, eyebrows, and a mouth with very sharp teeth. Since it's his office mouse I taped it on so it probably won't last very long, but his co-worker Connie seemed to be amused by it.

We left Rob's work around 4:45 and Berek took us back home and dropped us off. We ordered in healthy food from The Good Earth for dinner.

So, that's what's going on with Rob. He should be getting the blood test results back sometime next week. I'll let you all know how those go when he lets me know. Tonight should be fun - it's D&D time and we can all get some stress relief by hacking through demon and gnoll hordes.
