Ugh. Last night Rob brought home new light bulbs for the lamp. We replaced the bulb, but the lamp is still having issues. It just randomly makes a popping noise and turns off. Then, after a few minutes of being off, it makes another popping noise and turns back on. I guess this means we're going to need to get a new lamp. Unfortunately, I don't know if we'll have the time to do it before we head out to Solvang. Tonight we have a bunch of errands to get done (getting cat food, making a drug store run, going to the bank, filling the car with gas, etc.) and then we want to get as much packing done as possible. I just don't know if we'll have the time to find a new lamp. It would be nice to get it done tonight (not only so that we would have light when we got back home from our mini-trip, but also for the cat sitter), but time is definitely going to be an issue. *sigh* I guess if worse comes to worse we can move a lamp from another room into the living room.

Today is all about getting stuff ready for our mini vacation. I'm doing more laundry and tonight it's errand time and some packing. Tomorrow is Rob's birthday and he has to go into work. So, during the day I'll be hanging out with Lisa (I'm looking forward to it because I haven't seen her in ages) and then when Rob gets home from work we'll finish packing and head up to Solvang. This should be a very good weekend trip. Rob's having some anxiety problems and hopefully this will calm him down a few notches. That place always has a relaxing effect on the both of us.
