As of Thursday morning, we no longer have television. I'm not sure exactly what time this happened, but it would have to be between two in the morning and ten in the morning. At first, I thought it was our crappy cable company (Adelphia) having another outage. When it was still out last night when Rob came home from work we decided to ask around the building and see if anyone else had cable. Everyone else did. Which meant that there's a problem with just our cable.

So, this morning Rob called our apartment manager who told us that maintanance doesn't handle cable problems and that we would have to go through Adelphia. Rob then called Adelphia and tried to make an appointment for service. The best he could get was that there was a chance that someone might come by between 9am and 7pm today. Maybe. So, I've been here all day waiting for someone to show up. Needless to say, I'm bored out of my skull. I can't watch TV because the cable is out throughout our apartment. I couldn't log on, job hunt, or shower because I needed to be waiting here for the cable guy. I couldn't talk on the phone with anyone because the line needed to be open for them to call me if they got here.

It's 4pm and still no sign of anyone. Around 3pm I said fuck it and became frustrated at my inability to get anything done around here. I needed a shower and so I showered. Luckily, no one tried to call when I was in the shower. A few minutes ago I decided to log on. Rob gave Adelphia my cell phone nunmber and told them to call it when someone was dispatched because the line at home would be busy. We'll see if they're smart enough to understand those instructions. I'm betting they're not and I'm betting that we don't see anyone here to check out our cable until the middle of next week. But then again I've dealt with Adelphia before when we've had cable problems and I know that they're retarded and sometimes just don't bother showing up. I wish we could have another cable company, but we really don't have a choice because we get our cable through our building and we're not allowed to install any dishes so satellite is out of the question. Besides, I think Adelphia is the only company that covers our area. Fuckers. There's a reason they went bankrupt. They have really SHITTY SERVICE. If you ever have a choice in your cable company, DO NOT go with Adelphia. Ever.

I so wish that just for once the tables could be turned on these piece of shit retarded fuck wit cable companies. I wish that the customer could for once tell them that THEIR window to come would be between something like 3 and 5pm and that the company would have to deal with that. But no, because of the fuck wits who work at cable companies people get to sit around the house all day doing nothing but waiting for some asshole to show up. IF that asshole even does show up at all. Gah.

Luckily, Rob and I don't watch much TV. The only shows we both watch on a reguar basis was Angel (which has been cancelled) and the news. The only other shows that I watch are Charmed (which is on break for summer - hey, how is it that Angel got cancelled and Charmed gets another season???) and Passions (which I can deal without). So, not having TV isn't a real big for us, but it is annoying because there are times we do like to flip around and see if anything interesting is on. And not having the news is really annoying. Also, no TV means we don't have access to the cameras outside of the building and can't see when people call up anymore. So, it's not like we're going to freak out about not having TV, but it is super annoying.

The worst thing is the waiting. Waiting around all day and doing nothing all the while not even knowing if anyone will show up at all. So, like I said before, I said fuck it and logged on. I really fucking hate Adelphia.
