Yesterday afternoon Rob headed out of work early to the Kaiser up in Woodland Hills so that he could donate blood for Shannon's up-coming surgery. When he got there his temperature was high and they were worried he had a fever. He informed them that he was really hot because it was insanely hot outside and they made him wait until his temp went back to normal before drawing the blood from him. From what he said, things went smoothly and in no time he was being force fed apple juice, orange juice, cranberry juice, and Teddy Grahams. After the masive sugar rush he headed back home. Little did he know that I had a surprise waiting for him. He was kind enough to donate blood for Shannon so I wanted to do something for him.

When he called to say that he was near the apartment I slipped into a dress (yes, I do own a few) and had a blindfold ready for him. When he came inside I told him to go in the living room and close his eyes. He did so and I then told him to go down to my car and when he got there have his back facing the elevator area and have his eyes closed. After a few minutes I went down, put the blindfold on him, and put him in the car. He was a wee bit dumbfounded since he thought we were going back to the mall to exchange Amber's collar.

He didn't have any idea what was going on until I got to the parking lot. The lot near the restaurant we were headed to goes underground. And the only underground lot that he knew of was the one we were in. So, as soon as we hit the parking lot he knew that we were in Burbank and heading to Picanha (a yummy Brazilian place where they bring hunks of meat to your table - kind of like a meat laden Brazilian verison of Dim Sum). After parking, I walked around to his side of the car and took the blindfold off. He might have known where we were, but he wasn't expecting to see me in a dress. He seemed very happy about the whole thing.

There was no wait at the restaurant and we got seated immediatly. The food there was very yummy and Rob ate a *ton*. Seems that he was really craving meat (and lots of it) after donating his blood. That's why I decided to take him there as a surprise. What better way to make him feel less woozy than to pack him full of meaty goodness? I treated him to dinner and we left happy and full of meat. After dinner we headed back home to relax. It was a very nice night.
