C'mon people - I really need your help. I know more than just Berek and Manny have cell phones. Please, please, please tell me about your cell phone company. I need to make a hard decision here and my judgment of cell phone companies has proven to be less than stellar in the past. Just take a few minutes of your time to answer my cell phone post. Please?

So - yesterday (Thanksgiving) Rob and I decided to give up on our quest for a "normal" Thanksgiving. In years past when my Mom was out here and we cooked dinner things worked out very well. But the past few Thanksgivings have sucked ass. Neither Rob nor myself can justify cooking a Thanksgiving meal for only two people. And our attempts at dining out have ended up with us eating rancid "Spurkey" (think the Spam of turkey). So, we decided to just go out and have fun. So we went to Disneyland.

We headed out of the apartment around 9:30am. The drive down there was a breeze. I think it's the first time I haven't been in bad traffic on the 5 south. We made it all the way to Disneyland in only 35 minutes. Amazing. When we got there we first went to California Adventure and were surprised to see that we weren't the only ones who head to Disneyland on Thanksgiving. The place was packed. Due to long lines, we decided that Fast Pass was our friend. We got a Fast Pass for Soaring Over California and then headed to lunch. Lunch was some broccoli and cheese soup in a bread bowl and half a turkey sandwich. It was very yummy. After lunch we did the tour of the tortilla factory (hey, free fresh tortillas) and then headed into the "Bug's Life" area which has a lot of sprinklers and the like. We played around in the water for awhile and then headed to "Hollywood". We stopped in the cool place where the animation screens are all around you and just cuddled on a sofa in there. That was my favorite part of the day. Just cuddled up with Rob in a dark room with Disney clips all around us. It was nice. When our Fast Pass time had arrived we got another Fast Pass for the Tower of Terror and headed over to Soaring Over California. Thanks to the Fast Pass we didn't have to deal with the long ass line at all. We were on the ride pretty much immediately. Once we were done with the ride we headed back to the animation area, hung out some more in the big cartoon room, and then watched a short movie about the life of Walt Disney. When it was time for our Tower of Terror Fast Pass we headed over to the ride. Apparently we weren't the only ones who decided that Fast Pass was the way to go and there was a line even for the Fast Pass people. We did still get on the ride a lot faster than the regular line though. As usual, I loved that ride. Coolest ride ever. After the ride we roamed around the park a bit and then headed out of California Adventure and into Disneyland.

When we got to Disneyland we headed over to the New Orleans Square area. We got a Fast Pass for the Haunted Mansion and then went on Pirates of the Caribbean. The ride was cool, but broke down at one point when we were near the end. We were in the last room right before you head up the ramp (where all the pirates are shooting at each other) and the ride just stopped. They needed to power down and re-power up the ride. Eventually, it worked again. After Pirates it was time for our Fast Pass and so we went on the Haunted Mansion (which is still a Nightmare Before Christmas theme - too cool). Once done with those two rides we hopped on the train and headed to Tomorrow Land. We then got on the monorail and got off at Downtown Disney.

It was time for dinner and we decided to eat at the Rainforest Cafe. When we went up to the elephant, they told us we could either wait an hour for an inside table or be seated immediately on a patio. We chose to be seated immediately. The patio area was cool, but because Californians are all on crack and think that 65 degrees is actually cold I sweltered on the patio because they had their heat lamps cranked all the way up. Like I said, crack monkeys. The people who think that 65 is cold need to be dumped in below 0 weather. That'll show them what cold really is. Dinner was yummy, but the service was crappy. We even were served our soup and salad after we ate our meal. When we were done with dinner I did some shopping in the gift shop. Got some of my Xmas shopping out of the way. I can't say who for or what I got because the recipient reads this journal.

After dinner we headed back to California Adventure to see the Electrical Parade (yay!!!!!!!!). I hadn't seen that parade since back in college when they used to do it at Disneyland. I've been wanting to see it again ever since they brought it back to California Adventure. It's my favorite parade ever. It has to be - it has glowing electric snails in it. The parade made me all sorts of happy and if that wasn't cool enough Rob got me a pink Mickey Mouse balloon. As we left California Advanture after the parade we realized that we needed to head back to the Rainforest Cafe. I was looking my receipt over and saw that they forgot to charge me for an item. I was exhausted so Rob offered to run back. He told them the situation and said the guy seemed shocked that we would come back after seeing that error. I don't know why he was so surprised - we noticed the error before we left and needed to head back. I'm not going to knowingly take an item which was not paid for. After dealing with that we hopped on the train and went back to the car.

When we got home I started not feeling too well. I was super cold (which is very unlike me) and started shaking. I passed out very quickly. Today I spent most of the day in bed. I was still shaky and also dizzy. I think I was literally exhausted. I tired out my old body yesterday. Rob and I spent the day around the house and ordered in our dinner. I didn't feel like going anywhere.

Our plans for tomorrow have been cancelled due to impending rain. We had planned on doing a day trip to Solvang. Head there in the morning and come back home at night. However, we have rain in the forecast for tomorrow. And since Rob was going to be the one driving, it's best that we postpone our trip. He's a new driver and driving in the rain in California (where everything floods because we have no drainage systems), especially on a road that runs along the ocean seems like a bad idea. So, we might try the trip on Sunday or next weekend. We'll see. We both really want to do it so if the weather is nice to us we'll do it sometime soon. Now that our plans of Solvang have been cancelled for tomorrow I'm not sure what we'll be doing.
