Yesterday I had my follow up visit with my cardiologist. I headed out to Good Sam a bit early and met up with Rob for lunch. We ate in the hospital cafeteria. Well, he ate and I had some soda. Doctor appointments make me nervous and I really wasn't in the mood for eating much of anything. Come time for the appointment he walked me there and sat in the waiting room with me for a little while. Eventually he needed to get back to work.

The appointment went all right. A lot of time was spent sitting around waiting. We went over everything. The heart monitor results were good and most of my blood work was good. My magnesium levels were dangerously low and so he prescribed some magnesium pills for me to start taking. What I have is heart palpitations, an irregular heartbeat, and a "premature" heartbeat. They're not putting me on blood thinners because I already have fairly thin blood as it is (hence why it takes forever for a wound to close or heal). He also decided that Beta Blockers would be a bad idea because there's a good chance it would make my asthma worse. So, I'm going to try and have to control this through stress management. Not the best thing in the world for someone under the stress of job hunting and who is probably going to end up in an extremely stressful career. I also talked to the doctor about the flu that I recently caught. Due to the fact that I'm allergic to so many antibiotics and that the stuff I'm hacking up is getting back to a normal color on its own, it looks like I'm just going to have to fight this off on my own without the aid of drugs.

After the appointment I headed to Rob's office and read Glamour while he worked. When he was done working we headed back to our neck of the woods with a stop off at the bank, the drug store, and KFC for some dinner. We spent the night chilling out around the house, watching TV, and playing on the computer.

Well, I need to head off of here for now and get ready. I have a bit of a surprise planned for Rob tonight and I want everything to be perfect and ready by the time he gets home from work.
